WordPress Tweaks is a powerful yet simple plugin to help you push the boundaries of WordPress by fine-tuning its many aspects. This multi-purpose plugin specializes in simple toggle-on/off changes. It adds many useful settings pertaining to comments, posts, SEO, security, the administration back-end, and much more. Some tweaks can even replace plugins that you may already have installed.

The WordPress Tweaks plugin works by adding a “Tweaks” page to your WordPress options. Each individual tweak can be enabled/disabled at will using a checkbox.

The tweaks are as follows:

    • Automatically scroll to the post editor
    • Disable tag autocomplete
    • Disable the Dashboard
    • Disable the Flash uploader
    • Remove the width restraint on administration pages

    • Remove from comment body links
  • SEO
    • Only show the tag cloud widget on the homepage
    • Show post excerpts (instead of full content) on archive pages
  • Security
    • Disable directory listing for my plugins and themes folders
    • Hide WordPress’s version number from my theme and feeds
  • Theme and Appearance
    • Add code references to favicon.ico
    • Remove white space from pages list
  • WordPress 2.3 Legacy Fixes
    • Rename “Blogroll” admin menu item to “Links”
    • Fix: currentpageitem on pageforposts

WordPress Table Rename v1.2 Renames your tables to mitigate some SQL-injection-based attacks. Plugin makes coherent duplicate set of tables, so there is little risk. Simply switch back to the old set of tables if something goes wrong.
