Of all the Wordpress Plugins I have seen lately this has to be the most ingenious one yet. Virtual Silo is the first Wordpress Plugin which addresses Google’s Latent Semantic Indexing requirement for Blogs and overall site structure. If you have been using a Robots Meta Plugin to manage structure with each and every post, you know this can be tedious and Wordpress does not layout its pages the way you want anyway. Virtual Silo takes care of this on a grand, yet simple scale and takes your site’s Sitemap to the next level with the perfect “SILO” structure that Google wants for higher rankings and maximum SEO.
I had to “borrow” this picture from the Vitual Silo site to show you it’s magic first hand. What it does it take related posts, based on keywords, and aligns them together to make Google think your site is structured like their Search Engine. The Virtual Silo Plugin doesn’t change anything but the behind the scenes structure, so the change will not be obvious to the casual web surfer. The GoogleBot on the other hand, will love your site. You now have your site layed out by Search Terms and not by how you randomly posted your content. Your Sitemap will be enhanced by the Virtual Silo Wordpress plugin, but you will probably want to Deactivate any Robots Plugin you might have since Virtual Silo uses the Robots Meta Tags to produce it’s results. Ultimately making this a must have for any Wordpress Blog Owner who wants to maximize Search Engine Optimization on his or her site.
